back in town
Been out of town since Wednesday. First Chicago then to Virginia. Chicago was business, Virginia was pleasure. Not much to say about Chicago except that if you really try hard, you can get there in ten hours even though it's a seven hour drive. Trip was a lot of fun, but a lot of work.
Sara and I went to Virginia for two days to see BP,M-Rock, C-Rock, JC Samsonite and Ian. Had a great time. Got a speeding ticket. Saw the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam Memorial, and the WWII Memorial. Heard Okkervil River in concert but would be hard pressed to say we saw them since we were standing behind a row of 7 foot tall guys. Sara said she has a crush on Ian. I've got some pictures from the weekend that I'll get up on Flickr once I catch my breath.
Sara's got a crush on Ian? Dammit! That guy gets all the chicks.
Looks like I'm gonna have a permanent grin on my face today!
It turns out NPR was at the show doing a webcast. You can listen to it at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=14727366&ft=1&f=1039
It doesn't sound nearly as good as the actually show though, something about it just seems off.
Also, it looks like we weren't the only ones unhappy with the crowded conditions - http://www.jound.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1720
Let's try this again.

I have pictures I'll send to ya. I'd post them, but I retired from blogging.
Dang, wish I was able to go to the show but it sounded crowded. My brain doesn't work anymore and I wasn't sure if I bought a ticket. Hope you and Sara had fun in VA...sorry couldn't meet up...my part time job has seriously killed my social life. That Ian...such a stud!
Sorry we missed you man! Next time for sure.
